Players and cards

Play with 2 to 6 people, each on their own, with 40 cards (no 8, 9 or 10). From strongest to weakest: Ace, 7, King, Jack, Queen, 6 … 2. Play goes anticlockwise.

Points

Everyone starts with 20 points (the room creator can change it). Whoever reaches 0 or less at the end of a hand wins the game.

Dealing and trumps

The dealer deals 3 cards to each player, starting on their right. That player chooses a suit for trumps or asks to turn the next card: its suit is trumps, everyone sees it and they keep it. Then 2 more cards each. Hearts makes everyone play; with clubs, each trick counts double.

Playing and swapping

In turn, with their first 3 cards only, each player decides whether to play. Those who play get the other 2 and, in turn, may swap up to 3. You must play if you chose trumps, have 5 points or less, or sat out twice in a row. If only one player plays, they take all 5 tricks.

Tricks

Whoever chose trumps leads. You must follow suit; without it, you must play a trump higher than those on the table (if you have one). The highest trump or the highest card of the suit led wins, as in Sueca.

Up and down

Each trick taken removes 1 point (2 with clubs). Playing and taking no tricks adds 5 (10 with clubs). Sitting out changes nothing. At the end, the winner earns in risks the sum of the others’ points, and each loser loses the points they ended with.
