Donkey rules
Follow suit or draw from the stock. Whoever is left with cards is the donkey. 2 to 6
Players and cards
Two to six players, each on their own, with a 52-card deck. Each gets 7 and the rest is the stock. From highest to lowest: Ace, King, Queen, Jack, 10 … 2. No trumps.
Tricks
The player left of the dealer leads any card. The others must follow suit. If you can't, draw from the stock, one at a time, until you get a card of that suit, and play it. With the stock empty, if you can't follow, discard any card.
Who takes the trick
The highest card of the suit led wins (other suits never win) and that player leads the next trick. Played cards leave the game.
The donkey
When you run out of cards you are out of the hand. The last one with cards is the donkey and gets a letter: B, U, R, R, O. The game ends when someone completes BURRO; everyone else wins.
