About us

Cards4Players (Cartas Para Jogar, in Portuguese) is a website of free online card games. It brings together the games people play at the table in Portugal and Brazil (Sueca, Bisca, Truco, Donkey) and classics from other countries, such as Hearts, Spades and King.

Who we are

It is an independent project, created and maintained by Tiago Filipe Pinto de Sousa. It started with a simple idea: playing cards with friends and family when we are not at the same table. Every game was programmed from scratch, with the rules written down and tested in real matches.

How to play

• With friends: create a private room and share the code.
• In tournaments: there are ranked tournaments every week.
• Against bots: to practise or learn a new game at your own pace.
• Nothing to install: play in the browser, on a computer or a phone. On the web you can even play without an account.

The games are free. The site is paid for by ads and by optional cosmetics (tables, cards and characters), which give no advantage in the game.

• GG
  Bet on tricks. 2 to 8 players
• Sueca
  The Portuguese classic. 4 players in pairs
• Hearts
  Avoid the hearts. 4 to 6 players
• Bisca
  With 7 or 9 cards. 1 vs 1 or in pairs
• Up and Down
  Take tricks to get down to 0. 2 to 6 players
• Truco
  Truco Paulista, with manilhas. 1 vs 1 or in pairs
• Spades
  Bid tricks with your partner. Spades are trumps. 4 players in pairs
• Donkey
  Follow suit or draw from the stock. Whoever is left with cards is the donkey. 2 to 6
• Buraco
  Canastas with 2 decks and wildcards. 1 vs 1 or in pairs
• King
  Dodge tricks in the negative hands, win them in the positive ones, with an auction. 4 players
• Italian Sueca
  Bid for points and get a secret partner: whoever holds the called card plays with you. 5 players
• Solitaire
  Klondike, to play alone. With a daily deal

Fair play

At the table, any player can report or block someone who behaves badly. We read every report.
