Cards4Players terms of use

By using Cards4Players ("the game", "the app") you accept these terms. The game is provided by Tiago Filipe Pinto de Sousa ("we").

1. The game

Cards4Players is a free card game. You can play against bots on your phone or online with other people, in private rooms (with a code) or public ones. The game is funded by ads.

It is not gambling. There is no playing for money, no prizes and no coins or items to buy. "Bets" are a game rule: how many tricks you think you will win.

2. Who can play

You must be at least 13 years old. If you are a minor in your country, you need the permission of whoever is responsible for you.

3. Your nickname and behaviour

To play online you need an account, and other players only see the nickname you choose. When playing online, you agree not to:

• use offensive, discriminatory or sexual nicknames, or impersonate someone else;
• cheat, for example by coordinating moves with other players outside the game or using programs to gain an advantage;
• try to disrupt the server, send messages in bulk or exploit bugs;
• harass other players.

Any player can block and report another. Reports are reviewed and we may, without notice, block online access for anyone who breaks these terms. The host of a room can remove players from the waiting room.

4. Bots and absences

If your time to move runs out or you lose your connection, a bot plays for you until you come back (see the rules in the app). Bots can also fill rooms and are shown as bots.

5. Availability

We do our best to keep the game running well, but we do not guarantee it will always be available or free of errors. We may change the game and its rules, or end the online service. Games interrupted by technical failures do not entitle anyone to compensation.

When a server change stops working with old versions of the app, we ask you to update to keep playing online.

6. Ownership

The game, its code, graphics and sounds belong to Tiago Filipe Pinto de Sousa. You may use the app to play, for personal and non-commercial use. You may not copy, modify, sell or distribute the app, or build alternative clients for the server, without permission.

7. Ads

The app shows third-party ads (Google AdMob). We do not control the content of each ad. If you see an inappropriate ad, let us know. Data processing for ads is explained in the Privacy policy.

8. Liability

To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect damages arising from using the game, or for the behaviour of other players. Nothing in these terms limits the rights the law gives you as a consumer.

9. Privacy

How we process your data is explained in the Privacy policy.

10. Changes

We may change these terms. We update the date at the top and, for important changes, tell you in the app. If you keep using the game after that, you accept the new terms.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by Portuguese law, without prejudice to the mandatory consumer protection rules of your country of residence. For consumer disputes, you can use an alternative dispute resolution body listed on the Portuguese Consumer Portal.
