The goal

Each round, every player bets how many tricks they will win. Anyone who misses their bet, by any amount, loses a life. The last player with lives wins. 2 to 8 people play, each starting with 1 to 7 lives depending on the room.

Cards

A 52-card deck. From lowest to highest: 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, Q (queen), J (jack), K (king), A (ace). Suits do not matter: there are no trumps and you do not have to follow suit. The only exception is the ace of diamonds, the highest card in the game: it beats any other ace.

Rounds

The number of cards changes every round: 5, 4, 3, 2, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 4… Each round the whole deck is shuffled and dealt again. In the first round, whoever draws the highest card starts; after that, the next player clockwise starts.

Bets

In turn, each player says how many tricks they will win, from 0 to the number of cards. Everyone sees the bets already made. The last player to bet cannot choose the number that would make the bets add up to the number of cards. This rule does not apply in the round of 1 card.

Tricks

Whoever bet first leads the first trick. Each player plays any card from their hand and the highest card wins. If cards are equal, the one played first wins. The winner leads the next trick.

Round of 1 card

Everyone holds their card above their head. You see everyone else’s card, but not your own. Based on that, you bet 1 (I win) or 0 (I lose). After the bets, the cards are revealed and the highest wins.

Lives

At the end of the round, anyone whose tricks differ from their bet loses one life, whatever the difference. Players with no lives left are out. If everyone left loses their last life in the same round, nobody is out and everyone keeps 1.

Optional rules

Chosen by whoever creates the room. Manilha: the 7 becomes the second highest card, just below the ace. Joker: 1 joker is added and whoever plays it chooses which card it is (at most a normal ace, never the ace of diamonds); there is no joker in the round of 1 card. Cut: equal cards in the same trick cancel out and the highest card left wins; if all cancel out, nobody wins that trick. Quick mode: rounds only go up to 3 cards. Sudden death: everyone starts with 1 life.

Time

Each move has 30 seconds. If time runs out or you lose your connection, a bot plays for you until you tap "Back to the game".
